Spotlight: Won the first and latest of his 20 races; the latter was at Pontefract (1m2f, good) six days ago when he came from last to first in eight-runner race and did it in clearcut style under Harry Burns; unraced beyond that but soft ground should be okay and he's one to consider under 5lb penalty.

Spotlight: Tried this headgear for the first time at Chepstow (1m4f; just 3-1) 16 days ago and won comfortably under Ryan Kavanagh; up 6lb with a little more to prove on worse than good to soft but he's still well handicapped on 2023 and 2024 form.

Spotlight: His second win last year came over C&D in June off 1lb lower; creditable third on both starts this season; well below form last September on his only two starts on softer than good.

Spotlight: Trained last year by Charlie Fellowes; second run for her recent stable, and only her second on turf, when always prominent to win by a neck under Paula Muir at Carlisle (1m3f, good to soft) 16 days ago; 3lb higher today, in what looks a highly competitive race, but she's back into calculations.

Spotlight: Resurgent on AW in early part of this year, winning six times, and opened hurdling account in May; ran creditably over hurdles two weeks ago but he's unproven on ground softer than good.

Spotlight: 10yo who has won 11 times at Ayr, including from the front on last three starts, but latest of his three races at Hamilton (soundly beaten on last two occasions) was in 2022; placed on soft ground but has never won on it.

Spotlight: 6yo who is 0-10 (0-8 on Flat); close second of four when upped to 1m7f at Ayr four runs ago but not so good since; never dangerous at York Friday (1m2f); others have far more pressing claims, including on softer than good.

Spotlight: Continues to edge down the weights and is 4lb below last winning mark; interesting if back on ideal ground, all wins having been on soft or heavy.

Spotlight: Five of ten wins have come over 1m2f at Beverley; last four wins have come on heavy and soft, three of them last year when wearing cheekpieces; they've been absent this year and, although she was a close second at Beverly last time, perhaps she'll be of more interest when they are refitted.
