Spotlight: Last season ended with two big runs on soft ground and he's carried on the good work this term with wins at Southwell (1m4f, AW) and Hamilton (1m5f, good); raised another 5lb but produced a strong and well-timed run to collar Savrola close home last time and has more to give; big shout.

Spotlight: 1-5 for Richard Hannon and now 1-4 for current yard after prevailing in good style at Newcastle (1m4f, AW debut) five weeks ago; seemed to act on a range of ground on turf before that (won a maiden on heavy) but that AW run was a significant advance and he's now gone back up 7lb.

Spotlight: Three wins last term, convincingly when upped to 1m6f at Haydock (heavy) and York (soft) in the autumn; made the running on second occasion but that did not work in the 1m4f November Handicap at Doncaster (just 7-1) on final outing; perhaps that's best forgiven and he could resume improvement.

Spotlight: Runner-up in 2022 on his only run on soft; won at Musselburgh (1m4f, good to soft) on final start last season and easily made all at Thirsk (1m6f, good) on reappearance; gave his rivals the slip 3f out over C&D (good) 18 days ago, only to be caught by King's Scholar close home and raised another 3lb but he's clearly one to take seriously.

Spotlight: Scored on AW in December and April, latterly over 1m6f, before another good AW run in May; AW form was not transferred, however, when 11th of 14 at Haydoock (1m4f, good) 15 days ago and none of his turf form (the best of it last term was on heavy) approaches this mark.

Spotlight: Trained in 2023 and 2024 by Ollie Sangster; new yard this season, much more competitive again when close third of ten at Chester (1m4f, good) last time; one of his 2yo wins was on soft; back in the each-way picture.

Spotlight: Has done well this term under claimer Mason Paetel; respectable fifth to King's Scholar over C&D (good) on penultimate start and this season's form on good to soft is a bit better than that; won on soft in 2024; considered.

Spotlight: Acts on good to soft, unraced on worse; three wins last summer (1m3f-2m1f) and he's now 2lb below his last winning mark; penultimate outing was best run this term and he could do without one of his slow starts; beaten 18l in the King's Scholar C&D race latest.

Spotlight: Disappointing sort who ended up 12l behind King's Scholar here last time, following wind surgery; now has a tongue-tie (tried on final start last term) and first-time blinkers.

Spotlight: Second at Kempton (1m4f, AW; first-time cheekpieces) last October on third run for the Gosdens and sold for 30,000gns that month; both runs this season were C&D, fairly encouraging on first occasion but never dangerous behind King's Scholar on latest; unraced on softer than good; cheekpieces return.

Spotlight: Five wins last year, three of them here (1m5f/1m4f, various ground); no impact this season and the last three of those runs were at this track, but at least she is now back to her last winning mark.
